UK market entry, one phase at a time

Overseas companies often arrive with a registered product and no channel. A phased entry lets you commit capital only as the evidence comes in.

Overseas health technology and medtech companies often reach the UK with regulatory registration and early pilots, but no channel, pricing or proposition for the people who will actually buy. The temptation is to launch everywhere at once. A phased entry is usually safer and faster.

Start with where demand overlaps

Find where the conditions you treat, the ability to pay and the right clinical partners overlap. That gives you a short list of priority locations, not a national launch.

Choose a route to market

Direct to consumer, through clinics, through insurers or into the NHS each need a different proposition, price and evidence base. Pick one to prove first.

Recruit founding partners

A small group of credible early partners, with clear pilot measures, creates the evidence and references the next phase needs.

Set the measures before you start

Agree what success looks like for each phase, so the decision to commit more capital is made on results rather than momentum.
